Linda Parol
About the Packaging: With the exception of the outer dark teal plastic mailer, all packaging is meant for you to keep and re-use as storage for your parol.
- The plastic sleeve is made from strong polypropylene and won't scratch, stretch, or tear.
- The white tissue paper is an acid-free and aging-resistant archival material, meant for long term storage.
- The cardboard box (shipped items) and backing are custom fit for the Linda Parol. Both are curbside recyclable.
___
How to Unpack:
- Carefully peel back any tape to open the plastic sleeve. The tape should have an easy-peel tab/edge.
- Holding onto the cardboard sleeve and tissue paper, gently slide the entire parol out of the sleeve.
- Unwrap the tissue paper and set aside (do not discard!).
- Carefully undo any zip ties holding your parol in place.
- Gently remove the hanging loop if secured to the sleeve.
- Holding onto the hanging loop, slide your parol off the cardboard backing and hang as desired!
-
For the fringe: gently comb into place using your fingertips.
-
For the tails: gently straighten and comb using your fingers. You may use a low heat steamer to straighten the tails. However, I do not recommend it as using high heat may cause the sequin/glitter thread to melt.
___
Care Instructions
- Recommended for indoor use only
- Keep away from warm temperatures and humidity (warmth and dampness accelerates the deterioration of fibers and attracts bugs, mold, and mildew)
- Do not get your parol wet (the parol has been blocked and stiffened with water-based glue for shape)
___
Storage
- Please store in a cool dark place, re-using the original packaging material if possible.
- Store flat or standing up (with original cardboard backing and plastic sleeve) in another storage container to keep away from dust and dirt.
- Use acid-free tissue paper (included) as a barrier between the parol and any other material used as storage. The included square piece of tissue paper goes between the parol and the cardboard backing. The larger tissue paper goes in front of the parol, with the longer edge folded around the bottom edge of the cardboard backing.
